Blue Marlin Dive Komodo

The dive shop was organized and flexible about planning, so everything went smoothly. Huge thanks to the team. Raquel guided us for two days, gave clear briefings, paid close attention, and really knew the sites. I appreciated that she picked up marine debris during the dives. Moss, Xiaoxiao, and Nancy were professional and responsible too. Komodo was an amazing diving experience: beautiful coral, loads of fish, manta rays, sharks, turtles, and more. The currents at Shotgun and Batu Bolong were strong, but a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend it.

The crew knew the dive sites well, and the gear was in great shape. Every briefing was clear, and the dives felt safe and controlled without losing the fun. Hardin was especially attentive to safety throughout. Their speedboat made a real difference: we got more time diving and less time waiting, and we were always first to the sites and back at the harbour. The crew were friendly, professional, and punctual.

We’ve tried dive shops in several countries, so we feel confident saying Blue Marlin is well run. The boats are fast and the equipment was brand new. With Komodo’s unpredictable currents, they took safe diving seriously. The snacks and lunch were tasty too. Everyone on staff was great, and DM Martin deserves a special mention for a really thorough pre-dive briefing. I’d highly recommend the shop.

Lansy guided our group of three brilliantly. She knew the sites well and seemed to know just where to look for sea life. Before each of my three fun dives, we got a briefing about what to expect, and the newer gear was in good condition. Blue Marlin uses a speedboat, so we reached the sites faster than the other shops and found them less crowded. There’s a trade-off: a little less room on board. I had a great time and would recommend them for diving or taking a course in Komodo.
