Sylvia Beach Villa

A lovely place with a sea view, and the food was cheaper than at restaurants outside. Good value.

Plastic rubbish was scattered along the beach, and behind the rooms there were piles of plastic waste that got burned at night, leaving a terrible smell. The restaurant menu was very limited, and cats kept jumping onto the tables. My room was dirty and had several broken parts. The bathroom sink was broken and never repaired. When I asked for a hairdryer, it took three hours to arrive. I had an extremely disappointing stay at Sylvia Beach Resort and strongly advise against staying here.

The beach is a nice, quiet spot, and the cabins are right at the front of it, but ours had holes everywhere and mosquitoes inside. They look nice, though they need maintenance. The staff are really kind, just very slow and disorganized. They also forgot to pick us up from town when getting a taxi was difficult. The restaurant has very few choices, the food was awful, and they were out of several items.

The sea view from the room was pretty nice, but the toilet was outside the room and dirty. There was only enough hot water for one bath. At 1.2 million a night, I didn't feel it was worth the price. Breakfast tasted awful, and the staff weren't helpful, they hardly did anything.
