Of the three hotels we stayed at during our 23-28 February 2026 vacation, Sylvia Resort was the weakest. At checkout we left some things in the room, but nobody called or emailed to let us know, unlike Zasgo. I only realized about an hour later, at the next hotel, and went straight back to get them. The staff didn't apologize, and the service there felt cold and unenthusiastic. The restaurant was gloomy, which didn't feel like a resort, and its staff seemed just as unenthusiastic. The service was basically absent. By comparison, we were very happy with the warm staff and excellent service at Zasgo and Loccal Collection.

The staff were top notch, and the pools were warm. We had a beach all to ourselves, and it was perfect. Before our stay, I'd asked them to leave a little surprise card for my mom. When she arrived, the bed had been decorated with towel animals and flowers, along with a lovely card. She was so excited, and it made this a trip she'll never forget. The rooms are worth the price, and we'd come back. It's about a 10-minute scooter ride from downtown, which is part of the fun.

The hotel is just okay and not especially clean. They don't seem very willing to help, and they take your towels for the whole day because they don't have enough to replace them. You have to wait for them to wash the hotel's whole supply, which is weird. The private beach is nice when the weather leaves the water clear. There's also a nearby island you can reach for snorkeling. It's a way to get private beach access without paying for a full resort.

The view is beautiful, and the staff are great, but I wouldn't recommend staying here alone. It's far from everything, with a Grab scooter as the only option. The room was just so-so, and I saw stains on the sheets. I didn't feel safe, even though I'm sure it is safe. Breakfast wasn't appealing either, and I think the price is too high.

The beach is really nice for snorkeling, and the resort is conveniently close to the airport. I had a great stay, and the room and drinks were pretty decent.
