Balian Surf Villas

The coastline nearby is lovely, with a few surf breaks about a three-minute walk away. The area itself is quiet and laid back. For dinner there are a few small local restaurants, and our favourite was Tekor Bali opposite the villas. There's also a market on the main road where you can get fruit. We spent five nights in a studio with a private pool and really enjoyed it. It was spacious and beautifully designed, a great fit for a couple. Staff were friendly and quick to respond whenever we needed something. We'd definitely recommend a stay here :)

We booked five nights in a villa with a plunge pool, but checked out after three and were refused a refund for the unused nights. The villa idea was good, but the execution was poor. It has high ceilings and huge glass doors and windows, which make it hard to keep cool. We slept terribly because it was too hot and too bright. They need either two air-conditioners or tinted glass, and the translucent white curtains should be replaced with blackout ones because the rising sun wakes you up. The bathroom and toilet have poor ventilation. We used the outdoor shower every day, and brushed our teeth at the kitchen sink because the smell in the bathroom area was so bad.

We liked it so much that we added two more days to our stay 🖤🙏🏻

The living room AC didn't work, and while the breakfast options were good, the service wasn't very kind. We did like villa #4, though. It had spacious rooms, comfortable beds, nice furniture and lighting, plus a green garden and pool.
