Ibis Gading Serpong

Mba Niken came over to check in with me personally and seemed genuinely interested in how my stay was going. Her warm manner and attention made me feel welcome, so a special thank you to her for the hospitality. For a 3-star hotel, the service was better than I expected. My room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the breakfast had a surprisingly good range of choices. I had a really pleasant short stay and would return and recommend it ☺️

We stayed two nights, from Fri 10 April 2026 to Sun 12 April 2026, and I wouldn’t return if the condition stays the same. I’m an Accor Member and have stayed at many Accor properties, including Ibis hotels, for work and personal trips. Ibis has usually been good for a short private stay, with clean, comfortable small rooms. This Ibis Gading Serpong needs attention from Accor Management. I know its rates are lower than other hotels nearby, but guests still need a clean, comfortable room for sleeping and showering. We were assigned room 1802. There were two cockroaches in the bathroom and another crawling on the table by the telephone. The reception moved us to a cleaner room, but that room and its toilet were run down. The curtain needs checking too. I’ve never experienced this condition at an Ibis before. Management should inspect the rooms themselves and decide whether this is acceptable or renovation is needed. The room key card didn’t work when we arrived because the system needed time to update, so a receptionist had to let us in with his own card. That was a first for me. I asked for a refund, but reception said it wasn’t possible because we booked through a third party.

The room itself was fine, and the Wi-Fi speed was fine too. Communication from the hotel staff, though? Not good. They didn’t tell us at check-in that parking overnight in the building besides the hotel costs 100,000 IDR if you don’t use the valet. Whether to use valet should be up to guests, not compulsory. This isn’t about the amount, it’s the lack of advance notice. Other good star hotels accept online orders in the lobby, but Ibis wouldn’t.

The biggest drawback is the limited parking. It’s easy enough to order food online or take a Gojek car to nearby Summarecon Mall Serpong, but walking there isn’t safe. There’s no pedestrian walkway, and the road is wide and dangerous to cross, with four lanes in each direction, eight altogether. The room was clean and comfortable, with a safe, water boiler, table and chair for work, and a nice place to sit and relax. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, not too soft or hard. There’s pretty much what you need for a stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast included enough Indonesian dishes, plus some bread, coffee, tea, juice, and salad for foreign visitors. We could recommend the hotel if you’re in the area.
