Gusti welcomed us and explained everything. The local family who own the place also run other businesses on the island, and everyone we met was great. They can arrange scooters, laundry, and snorkeling once you're there. The place is lovely, clean, and nicely decorated, so we highly recommend it and the staff. Terima kasih 🙏

The beds were huge and comfortable, and everything was clean. The accommodation is beautiful and in a perfect spot for getting around quickly. Lovely staff can help arrange anything from ferries to scooter rentals. Highly recommend.

We keep coming back to 221 Garden Cottages, and this was our third visit. With just seven separate villas, it feels small and intimate. The family who run it are so welcoming and always ready to help with requests, tours, scooters, or other transport. It really feels like a home away from home. Each villa has a comfortable bed, a warm shower, a stocked minibar, Wi-Fi, a ceiling fan, and air conditioning that works well. The pool is refreshing, surrounded by lush green gardens, and a lovely place to relax after a day out. It's easy to walk to Mushroom Bay, shops, restaurants, and local warungs. We're confident recommending a stay here. A solid 10/10 from us!

We had one of the best parts of our two-month trip at the 221, and I'd absolutely recommend staying here. Gusti and his team were wonderful, the room and bathroom were nice and clean, and the pool was always spotless. They arranged our snorkeling and Nusa Penida tours, plus the return ferry, with good deals compared with online and local providers. Breakfast was very nice too. Hot water could take a little while to last when everyone was using it. You can hear noise from outside, but it wasn't a problem until we had some loud, drunk, disrespectful neighbors talking at midnight. That wasn't the hotel's fault. Luckily they left, and the rest of us had a quiet, peaceful stay. Thanks, Gusti and the 221 team, for everything.

The staff made our stay especially memorable. Our son had his birthday on arrival day, and they had decorated the room and brought him a cake at check-in. It was such a thoughtful surprise and made his day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for us. Mushroom Bay, good restaurants, and warungs are very close, while Coconut Beach and Devil's Tear are within walking distance too. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted except the Jungut Batu area. It's a peaceful place to unwind while still being convenient.
