Laguna Reef Huts

The property was really well maintained, and the huts were comfortable and clean, with gorgeous views. We stayed three nights with my partner and our friend, splitting the time between two huts, one garden view and one ocean view. It was quiet and peaceful, and we felt welcome from the start. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was convenient and well prepared. We loved it and hope to come back. Thank you for having us.

It's right on the beach, with ocean views from the rooms and pool. Breakfast is included, and you can hire a motorbike. The staff were incredibly friendly, and Sita from Laguna reef was lovely to deal with over the phone and helped with everything we needed. Highly recommend if you want somewhere peaceful and isolated, off the beaten track.

At 9 PM, after I showed the owner the air conditioner was blowing hot air and let him feel it himself, he said he didn't like me complaining and told me I could leave. He made no effort to understand or take responsibility for the broken air conditioning. I was polite, but he said other guests never complain and blamed me. It was a terrible night and an extremely rude response. I booked because my usual hotel was full, but that didn't justify treating a guest that way. I also heard they tried to charge another guest for late checkout. The next day, they asked everyone whether their air conditioning worked, which made it seem they knew there was a problem. A terrible, rude, uncommercial experience. It felt like the owner cared about short-term profit, not long-term business. Stay away.

From the restaurant we watched the seaweed farms and little boats bobbing on the water. The place was so quiet in low season that we had the pool to ourselves, and sometimes breakfast too. It was a very relaxing stay, with a comfortable bed that had been beautifully made up for us. We liked the outdoor bathroom, though a few things were rusty from the salty air, which can happen so close to the ocean. There was a large mosquito net over the bed, and mosquitoes weren't an issue.
