Lembongan Reef Bungalow

We spent three weeks at Reef and had a wonderful time. The view was lovely, and Sam, the manager, was so kind and accommodating. Whenever anything came up, he was around and ready to help.

The room was a long way up outdoor stairs, and the room itself was underwhelming. The hut was tidy and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom felt old and badly laid out, with an open shower cubicle and toilet. Service was poor. The pool is small, so only two or three people can use it at once, although the view from it is nice. That view is good, but likely much like what other hilltop hotels have.

The friendly staff and good value made this a decent stay, and the island itself is magical and worth visiting. The views from the pool, bar and restaurant are amazing, looking out over the beach, water and Mount Agung. Villas are upstairs and fairly basic, with no TV, but comfortable enough. Breakfast comes with the stay and is adequate, though nothing fancy.

Our recently updated room had a balcony, a huge ensuite bathroom, and a king-size bed. Best of all, the ocean view was incredible to wake up to each morning. Recommended.
