Nusa Garden Homestay

I loved relaxing in the garden and meeting people there. The beds were really comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy, with AC, free lockers, and a towel provided. The place is very close to the beach, and the staff are so friendly. You can make tea or coffee whenever you like. The only downside was no hot water, but I had a very good stay.

I meant to stay two nights but ended up spending a week in the dorms. The location was handy, with plenty nearby, and I really enjoyed chatting with the lovely women hosting the place every day.

We had a good couple of nights here and thought it was very good value. The place looked like the photos, the bed was comfortable, and the room cooled down quickly with the AC. Our room and porch were cleaned daily. Wi-Fi worked well both inside and outside, and there was free water to refill during our stay. The staff were friendly, and the bathroom had soap and decent water pressure. It’s outside, with a roof over it. The location made things easy: food, ATMs, local shops, laundry, and the beach were all within about a five-minute walk. We also rented an older Scoopy for 70k, which was a good price. I’d come back. A couple of things to know: there was no hot water while we were there, though we didn’t mind. The main road can get busy with traffic, and the bar opposite plays music until around 9 PM. It wasn’t very loud and we couldn’t hear it inside, but we could when sitting outside. We asked about a pickup from the harbor on the other side of the island and were told to find a taxi driver at the port. That was fine, though it was the first time a hotel hadn’t offered to arrange it. It would have been reassuring to have transport sorted before the boat ride.

The family were warm and smiling whenever we saw them, day or night, and their kids were very cute. We stayed in a clean dorm with six huge beds. Restaurants and beaches were an easy walk away, and the place felt peaceful. Great value, too. We had an amazing stay.
