Royal Retreat Villa's Lembongan

The service lady was very friendly and offered to move us to another room, but we couldn’t understand why guests were given a room like this in the first place. We found photos showing the same defects on another booking site, and they had already been there for two years. We paid €30 a night with breakfast, which works out to €22 for the room. The resort looks appealing for the price, but be prepared for it not to be clean. The living room looked quite good and the bed was great, but cleanliness was the problem, especially in the fridge and bathroom. That’s why we left after one night instead of the four we had booked. The bathroom gets zero stars from me: the toilet lid was torn off and yellow rather than white, and the other fittings weren’t good either. One evening we even got locked inside the bathroom.

We’d originally booked the other property but were moved here to a bigger room, and we loved the place. The bathroom was huge, and the bed was very, very comfortable. Ketut, grey and dawu were accommodating and knew the area well.

The pool area is gorgeous, and the place is clean and really comfortable. Everyone was so helpful. They also arranged an incredible snorkelling trip for us, including a fun scooter ride to the beach. Breakfast was lovely too. This has been our favourite place so far on our trip! :)

I’ve visited Nusa Lembongan six times, and I’ve stayed at Royal Retreat Villas on every visit. Since my first time in 2018, it’s felt like a second home. The owner and staff are always helpful and arrange everything we need for island activities. The rooms are always clean, the AC works well, and the beds are comfy. Breakfast is delicious, too. It’s close to the beach, about a 10-minute walk to beautiful, quiet Dream Beach and seven minutes to Sandy Bay.
