Sanghyang Bay Villas

A quiet, relaxing stay with really helpful staff. The bungalows sit around a fantastic big pool, and the gardens are very pretty. Rooms are huge and spacious, though a few things in ours were tired and need fixing. The place's charm won me over, and the price felt more than fair for what you get. You're seconds from the beach and close to mushroom espresso for great coffee. The pool works well for kids big and small. Highly recommend.

The place and the rooms were nice, and so was the pool, but renovations were happening without us being told ahead of time. We mentioned that we were disappointed. For the next couple of days, they didn't use power tools, which seemed like an effort to keep the noise down, and we appreciated that.

We had six excellent days here. The villa and restaurant staff were always friendly and helpful. When my friend wasn't feeling well, I asked if I could buy an orange since there weren't any fresh food markets nearby, and they gave us one for free. The restaurant overlooks swimmer-friendly Mushroom Bay and offers complimentary breakfast. The food was very good, often with live music, and we caught some brilliant sunsets. The property is quiet and peaceful, away from the beach and street hubbub but still close to several cafés and restaurants. The immaculate lawn and garden surround a circle of separate villas and some double rooms for families. The pool was very well maintained, with areas safe enough for kids as well as enough depth and length for laps. If I had a complaint, the water was a bit too warm, though that's typical of resort pools and hard to cool down in Bali weather. We feel we really lucked out finding this gem.

The pool was right outside our door, and we never had to fight crowds for anything. The hosts were just beautiful, and the location was superb. We stayed in a poolside deluxe hut, though from Australia we'd call it glamping, since 'deluxe' is a stretch. The room was basic but clean. Restaurants and massage places are within walking distance. The internet was good, and we'd 100% stay here next time. Thank you so much, see you next time!
