We stayed at Thongs Hotel twice, one night each time. Compared with other hotels in Indonesia, it’s professional and well organized, and the airport shuttle is great. The garden is lovely, but the sign saying there’s a 500.000IDR fee if you step on it feels a bit much. There’s also a separate list of penalties in the room. I don’t know what happened before, but if a hotel sets such high expectations for guests, it should meet its own standards first. The room should be clean and the walls shouldn’t have so many marks; gaps should be filled, and the bed sheets should be clean, especially when there’s a fine if they aren’t clean at checkout. The shower was cold both times too. That wasn’t a big deal in the heat, but still. It’s a nice place for one night, and that’s about it.

After 26 hours of travel, I got a good night's sleep here. The beds are 2.00 m and comfortable, and the shower was good too. The restaurant stays open around the clock, with decent food at fair prices. The staff were really friendly.

The complex is cute, and it has a restaurant open 24/7. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. The staff were kind and got back to me quickly.

I wasn't expecting such a big breakfast when I asked for an early one. It came as a full buffet, with tasty food and even an omelette station. My room was spacious and clean, and the coffee shop, Angkasa kuphi, had excellent service at a surprisingly friendly price.
