I stayed Feb 23, 2026 - Feb 28, 2026. My room and toilet were clean, the shower was good, and the AC worked well. Small packets of body soap and shampoo were provided. My mom's room wasn't as clean, but staff responded quickly and came to clean it. The parking area was very spacious, and there was a big pool for both adults and kids. The food was good too.
Pollos Hotel & Gallery has a huge parking area and is quite spacious for a 3-star hotel. The pool is fairly large too, and the rooftop café has a stunning view of the Java Sea. There's a garden next door with a basketball court as well. Getting in can be a bit inconvenient since it's on the busy Pantura highway, where large trucks pass often. The rooms are roomy and have a sofa. Breakfast has a good selection, though the main dishes taste a little flat. The fondue station is an unusual and interesting addition. It's a solid place for a relaxing stay, with good facilities, though access could be easier.
The rooftop bar is a nice place to relax or catch a sunset, and I really liked the coffee from the restaurant. There’s also a pool for lazy downtime, a good restaurant, and a small cafe out front. Parking was easy, and the city itself felt quiet and laid-back. Pollos Hotel has a modern feel and sits right by the beach. The woodwork is striking, and there’s a little wood gallery shop full of adorable duckling decorations, a fun find for duck fans. I did have a couple of problems. There were loads of mosquitoes in my room even after I asked for help, and the heater only made the water barely lukewarm. The customer service, though, was quick, polite, and really good. I’d consider staying here for a relaxed visit to the area, but I’d pack bug spray along with sunscreen.
The hotel is conveniently set on the main road, with plenty of parking. My room was roomy, clean, tidy, and comfortable, and breakfast tasted pretty good.
The view from the accommodations was wonderful, and the rooms themselves were decent, even if the TV was in a strange spot. But the service left me disappointed, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to someone hoping for a warm, welcoming stay. At reception, I felt ignored and unwelcome. The receptionist wasn’t friendly and offered no useful details about the hotel or nearby area until I asked. Since it was my first visit, I’d expected a friendly welcome and some pointers for making the most of my stay. That set a bad tone from the start. We also got unfriendly service from the Lounge waitress. The staff’s hospitality needs to improve.
