Gammara Hotel Makassar

Gammara Hotel has a large parking area, a big swimming pool, cottages, and a peacock sanctuary, which I was told is the only one at a hotel. The rooms were clean, and both the security staff and receptionist were friendly and smiling. Thanks to Gammara, especially Miss Sri, Miss Syifa, and Miss Theima at reception, for being so responsible toward guests. It was an unforgettable stay.

I keep coming back to stay here on my 3-7 day business trips in Makassar. The staff are friendly and housekeeping is very helpful. Breakfast is nice too, though the menu is mostly the same each day, with only the buffet selection changing.

That two-bedroom cottage at Gammara Hotel was just perfect, with its own private pool and such a peaceful, relaxing feel after a busy day exploring. We had a wonderful stay in Makassar and I'd highly recommend this place. 5 🌟

I hope the service gets better, because it was much better here 2-3 years ago and this time left me quite disappointed. The check-in and check-out were very slow. I'd expect check-in to take 5-7 minutes and check-out 5-10 minutes. There were no signs showing which counter handled individual or corporate check-in, group check-in, or check-out, so guests wasted time in the queue. The Front Office and Sales Department also seemed poorly coordinated: even though I'd paid, the Front Office still asked how I planned to pay. On three separate occasions, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Laundry each let the phone ring three times without anyone answering. I asked the Front Office for a laundry bag, but nothing happened until I called twice and spoke a little firmly.
