Hotel Luvio Makassar by OYO Rooms

If cigarette smoke bothers you, this place may be hard to stay in. The lobby smelled strongly of it, and both rooms I tried still had that odor despite my request for a non-smoking room. In the first, a cockroach suddenly appeared on the bed as I lay down. In the second, the smoke smell remained, so I had to sleep wearing a dust mask. I found it uncomfortable, and even my mother, who has trouble smelling, noticed it. The next morning she found more than seven cigarette butts and lots of ash in the desk drawer by the bed. There were some positives: the room was fairly large, the bed and towel were clean, and the AC was good with a turbo setting. But there was only one towel even though we booked for two.

The elevator door sometimes wouldn't open, and the Wi-Fi login was a pain. The trainee at reception was useless. Imagine being in bed and having another guest walk into your room. Rated five stars, ha, the worst April mob.

There's plenty that needs improvement. Room service was good, but the female receptionist was really lacking in hospitality.

The location gets 4/5 from me. Everything else was poor: ambience 1/5, service 1/5, cleanliness 1/5, and value for money 1/5. There are smoking areas everywhere, and there was no cleaning service.
