The pool opened at 8 even though it was supposed to open at 7, and there were no pool towels. The water put me off swimming. I booked online and got a superior room on the third floor, with no lift. The room felt dated, from the old furniture and tube TV to the old AC and bathroom fixtures that seemed from the 80s or 90s. My stay was a bad experience.

The cottage cost about IDR 750,000. The sea-facing location, distinctive wooden-house design, quiet setting, and decent breakfast were the good parts. But there were a lot of problems: the shower faucet leaked, the sink was clogged, and the shower bath was broken. Some lights didn’t work, the floor made odd sounds, and the blanket was too thin. The pillow barely felt like a pillow. The bell boy wasn’t friendly, the TV had no broadcasts, and sometimes the AC wasn’t cold. I called reception many times and got no answer.

Service was excellent, though the facilities felt like they were from ’95 in a four-star hotel. If you stay in a cottage, expect to see people fishing, even though management prohibits it.
