This place feels like one big smoking area. The common space connects to the outdoor area, so whether you smoke or not, expect your clothes, hair, and everything else to stink of cigarettes. It was dirty, with no sign of toilet paper or soap, and the bathrooms looked like nobody had touched them. There were also sketchy men watching everything I did. I felt watched the whole time, and as a woman, I wouldn't stay here alone. It doesn't feel safe.

The dorms were clean, though the bathrooms were a bit untidy and had no toilet paper. It works if you just need an inexpensive bed in a central spot for one night. There's not much atmosphere, and it was mostly empty during the day.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The bathrooms were a disaster, the dorm floors had rubbish on them, and the beds were stained and covered in other people's hair. Everywhere smelled bad and looked dirty. One of the worst hostels we've stayed in. Those 4 stars seem fake.

I was left without money for the rest of my trip after 1.6 juta IDR went missing from my locker. It was locked when I left for my Bromo trip, and the locker wasn't broken, so I believe a staff member opened it. Only two people knew I was away: the receptionist, described as dark-skinned with shoulder-length hair, and another person staying there. When I asked about that person, I found out the receptionist had let them stay without checking in and kept the payment. I filed a police report the next morning at malang Polisi stasiun. The place has no CCTV, and the receptionist lets friends hang out in the lobby and people stay without checking in. I can't tell which of the two took my money, and I couldn't do anything about it. I'm very disappointed and ashamed of the management. Very sad about what happened.
