Casa de Vie Homestay

The rooms were clean, cozy, and as pictured, though not very big, and the bed was comfortable. We stayed here for the Bromo tour, which was amazing. Free laundry and a refillable water station were both really handy. The welcoming staff went out of their way to help with our onward travel and anything else we asked. The bathroom could be an issue: it has non-slip mats, which I understand, but there's no ventilation or window, and the heat and wet-room setup can make it smell. The price is amazing, and I'd recommend it to budget travelers.

Between adventurous trips to Bromo, Tumpak Sewu, and Malang city, I had a restful stay here and really enjoyed the privacy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We picked a room with a window facing the front of the house, so I could hear the calming rain and feel the air. Thanks for the great hospitality!

I arrived at the last minute looking for a place, and fortunately they had a room. They even let me check in that morning, which I really appreciated. Annas was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and his excellent English made it easy to ask about things to see in Malang and Indonesia generally. It's a little outside the center, but quiet. I'd definitely recommend it.

The best part was how cared for we felt. The staff were warm, attentive, and always happy to help, which made the place feel like home. We stayed at Casa de Vie for 10 days with 12 people while preparing for our national exam, and the calm atmosphere worked really well for studying and unwinding together. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was tidy, and the shared areas were spacious. Hot showers, wifi, and a smart TV were all there, and the place stayed clean throughout. We were very happy with the stay and would recommend it.
