The room was roomy, quiet, and clean enough, and having a pool was a plus. But when the owner was there, she didn’t want the floor beside or around the pool to get wet. I was told to leave my swimming bag by the pool, where there were no chairs or tables, so we put it on the ground. That didn’t feel like proper service.

The toilet was clean, and the room and amenities were nice. I appreciated that they provided a sajadaa and sarong for Muslim guests to pray with, since it’s easy to forget to pack them and few guest houses seem to offer them. There wasn’t much variety in the food, but that’s understandable for a guest house. I did get an eerie feeling in the middle of the evening for some reason. Still, it’s a good place to stay in Malang. :)

After a long, enjoyable trip around Malang, this felt like a peaceful place to rest. It’s in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and the pool is a great fit for families traveling with kids. The rooms can sleep three without an extra charge, too. Breakfast doesn’t offer much variety, though you can head out and find breakfast in Malang. I’d still consider it one of the best guest houses I’ve stayed in, even with a few minor issues I could live with.

The family room has one large double bed and one single bed. It’s a homey, premium guest house with a pool, right in central Malang.
