RedDoorz near Taman Krida Budaya Malang

It's fairly clean and comfortable. There are good, inexpensive places to eat nearby, and downtown is close too.

There were some basic problems with the room. The thin blanket smelled, and the pillows were stained and smelled unpleasant, apparently from before I arrived. The shower area was tiny, the hot water never worked, and there were no proper toiletries. The liquid soap had been watered down and there was hardly any left. There also wasn't a free power outlet, just the one used by the TV cable. That cable was faulty and even made a sound like electricity, which seemed dangerous and could cause an electric shock. The hotel itself was pretty standard, and both the staff and room were comfortable, but it was a shame the place hadn't been maintained.

Booking directly costs 200,000 IDR, while the app price for a first-floor room is 170,000 IDR. Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, with a 100,000 IDR fee for arriving early. The location is very convenient, and parking is fairly spacious with someone available to help. The standard room has strong Wi-Fi and a TV with quite a few channels. The water heater takes a while and isn't very efficient for warm water, and the toilet could be cleaner.

We paid around 170, and the location in Malang is really convenient. The room had good facilities, including cool AC, a working TV, hot water, and a refillable gallon jug. Great.
