Bobocabin Bunaken Hills

Bobocabin was calm and peaceful 🥰. We arrived at night and the staff gave us a warm welcome. Check-in was quick, and they brought our luggage straight to the cabin. We even got free snacks. If you need anything, you can message the staff and they’ll bring it to your cabin, or you can drop by Bob’s Mart. Breakfast could maybe use more variety, but the service was excellent overall. We’ll definitely stay at Bobocabin Bunaken Hills again! 🥰

The view here is amazing, and it’s a really nice place away from the crowds in the city. But cleanliness needs to be taken much more seriously, especially if it wants to attract tourists. Each cabin should be inspected and problems fixed before guests arrive. Restaurant staff should be punctual too, since waiting around isn’t enjoyable. We booked the Premier Cabin with a hot tub for our family after a long journey. When we arrived, the bathroom and toilet had a very strong, unpleasant smell. I went to the office to complain because it really spoiled our day. Staff came to check and fix it, but the smell was back in the morning. They didn’t offer compensation. The staff members were friendly, at least. We were told the restaurant opened at 3:00 PM, but the chef arrived late. The menu sent when we booked didn’t match what was available, and the choices were very limited, so we ordered what they had. The food did taste good. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The table, chairs, sink, door, and floor were still dirty from previous guests. The coffee cups had brown stains. The hot tub was dirty and worn, there were no hand towels, and they provided tea but no coffee. The kitchen tap was partly broken, the fridge was dirty and smelled bad, and the shower drain was clogged so water pooled on the floor. In one of the toilets there was only a small roll of toilet paper, with no spares prepared for our group of eight. This place needs daily cleaning even when it’s empty, along with regular deep cleaning.

We paid for a package that included meals, but the meals were just okay, nothing special. We were served the same two nights in a row, so we decided to have seafood in town instead. Still, it’s a great place to spend a couple of nights.

The view was the highlight for me. Waking up with nature right outside the window felt so peaceful. Bobocabin is such a gem, with cozy, clean cabins that are thoughtfully designed. It’s a perfect little escape to relax and recharge. Highly recommend if you want to get away surrounded by nature. And the yummy iced coffee is a bonus 🌄💛.
