Hotel Bobocha Siladen

The shared dinners were a lovely way to meet guests from around the world and swap stories. We also loved watching the sky change color at sunset each evening. The one thing we’d reconsider is the transfer cost, which seemed high. Local providers may offer cheaper options, perhaps with some negotiation. The location is a dream, and the food was a highlight of our stay. The staff, especially Andrew, were attentive and always around when we needed them. Diving was fantastic, with healthy coral and abundant marine life. Even snorkeling right in front of the hotel was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back.

The beach is beautiful, and we had a great time night snorkeling. The rooms and resort are nice. Having no electricity in the room during the day is absolutely fine, since you don’t really need it then.

The reef starts just a few steps from shore, and the water is so clear. We loved snorkeling, and the boat and dive operators were both professional and warm. Each evening brought another incredible sunset, and the food was rich, varied, and full of flavor. What made the stay just as memorable was the people. Sarah and her team were genuinely welcoming and helpful, and made us feel like family. We came to Bobocha Resort for a second time, and the island’s calm beaches and natural beauty made it just as unforgettable as our first visit. Meals became a chance to connect with people from all over the world who share a love of nature and exploring. Every day felt like its own little adventure. This place is special. Go there.

Siladen is smaller than Bunaken island, which made me feel more comfortable letting our three young kids explore. We could walk around the island at low tide and look through the tide pools. It takes about an hour, and good sandals are a must because there are sea urchins on some of the beaches. The resort worked really well for a short, secluded family break. Having the room and meals taken care of meant we could relax while the kids played on the beach. The reef is an easy swim away, and we spent hours snorkeling with the changing currents.
