Cozy Cottages Lombok

It felt like a homey, comfortable stay, and we were happy with it. The place has a local feel, tucked away among palm trees, with birds singing and roosters crowing in the morning. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast was calm and private, too. It's hot in the afternoons, but the air conditioning worked well. We noticed a few lizards or small bugs might get into the room, though there were so few that they didn't bother us. That's a common issue at other, bigger cottage hotel brands around here as well. Motorbike and car rentals are available at reasonable prices.

We liked our stay and are still giving it 5 stars, since the hotel can't control the noise. But future guests should know about the nearby mosques and their loud prayers over big speakers. Even with earplugs, we woke at 04:45 every morning. If you're sensitive to noise, this really isn't the place for you. We spent a few nights in one of the private villas, which had its own pool and suited us well for privacy. The AC worked fine and wasn't too loud, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast was nice with plenty of options. The place itself is lovely.

The staff were always smiling and very friendly, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, so renting a scooter isn't necessarily needed. I did rent one anyway. My daughter and I enjoyed the little resort. She had a room by the pool, while I stayed in villa #1. I loved being able to cool off in my private pool several times a day, even without a swimsuit. The rooms were comfortable and nicely put together. The internet was fast and reliable, and we watched a few films on the flat-screen TV in my room. My daughter really liked the breakfast. There's no espresso maker, so I went down to Molly's for my morning coffee, which is all I have for breakfast. There's a mosque down the street, and the prayer was quite loud at different times during the day, though it wasn't too bad inside. Water pressure in villa #1 was weak, while it was fine in my daughter's room, so perhaps the run-through heater needs replacing. Having the pool handy to cool off definitely helped. I'd return and book a villa again.

Check-in went smoothly, and they gave us clear directions to Cozy Cottages Lombok. The breakfast menu and other details, including local restaurants, bike rentals, and nearby attractions, were explained clearly. We stayed for three days and had a delightful time. Our room matched the photos, with a lovely private pool. It was very clean, and the pool was well maintained. There were a few snails in the garden because of the rainy season, but they didn't bother us. Breakfast was delicious, with sliced fruit on the side. The listed amenities were all there, and the hair dryer and iron were especially handy. I'd highly recommend Cozy Cottages to anyone visiting Lombok.
