Jeeva Santai Villas

Loved our stay. The rooms are huge and beautiful, the beds super comfortable, and the turndown service was great. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. The food was lovely too, especially the blackened chicken.

The villas and setting at Jeeva Santai Villas were the best part of our stay: spacious, thoughtfully styled rooms surrounded by nature, beautiful views, a cozy pool, and a quiet, personal feel. Most of the staff were warm and attentive. The property is remote, though, and taxis to attractions take a long time, so this works best if you're happy spending much of your time at the resort. The gym and spa are at another hotel some distance away, something to know before booking. Food was the main weak point. The restaurant looks appealing, but its meals lacked flavor and felt expensive beside nearby options. We had breakfast there each day and dinner once, then ate most meals at Quincy and other local restaurants for better quality, variety, and prices. I understand a small resort may need higher prices, but the value was hard to justify against the alternatives. Breakfast felt quite British and dated, rather than the lighter, fresher, health-focused food many people hope for with a Bali feel in Lombok. Asking the kitchen to adjust portions was awkward too. One yogurt and granola dish was about 70% granola and 30% yogurt, so it was very dry. When we asked for extra yogurt, they brought another full serving instead of simply adjusting it. The process felt rigid, with little room to adapt. Service was friendly but uneven. One receptionist was excellent, welcoming and knowledgeable, and explained excursions and suggestions clearly. Others seemed more passive and transactional. Our private driver was fantastic, clearly talking us through the activities we'd booked and adding a lot to the stay. Even with the restaurant issues, the villas, atmosphere, and overall visit were outstanding. A better food offering and more flexible service could make this a five-star experience. As it is, it's a memorable, beautiful resort that we'd recommend for its accommodation and setting.

A lovely seaside hotel with a great pool and good food. The staff were sweet and helpful. You can rent a scooter to explore the area, and at sunset the beach on your left is a nice place to watch surfers.
