Bale Eja was a great stay. My room was roomy, with a comfortable bed, a nice balcony, and a little desk that came in handy. Ahmad was welcoming and helpful, and was always available with information about Lombok.

This is a lovely family run place, clean and excellent value. There's enough to do nearby, though I'd recommend having a scooter to reach Senggigi. Ahmad was the nicest person we met on Lombok, caring and full of useful advice for the rest of our travels.

The third floor terrace is a lovely shaded spot with a view of the mountains. We had breakfast there after an early swim in the sea. The sea and the spot where we bought fresh fruit from local sellers were both a short walk away. The rooms were spotless, with no mold, which isn't easy to find in Indonesia. They had a nice balcony, comfortable beds, and extra fluffy towels. From the moment we arrived, the owner and staff made us feel at home. You can tell they care about giving guests a nice stay, and they also shared lots of useful information about day trips nearby.

The host was such a nice guy and never tried to sell us anything. He just wanted to help us get the most out of our trip and was happy to help if we needed something. The room was good and the prices were good too. Thanks, Ahmed!
