Four Points by Sheraton Medan

The rooms are fine for the low prices, but I had a couple of frustrating experiences. I asked the front desk where to exchange USD for local currency. They sent me somewhere that didn’t offer the service, then I was told to try another mall. Traffic made the wasted trip even more annoying, and the information was misleading. I also ordered a vegetarian breakfast to take away, but it had meat in it and was inedible. The front desk service was poor.

A pleasant stay in Medan. The location is convenient, the rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast had a good range, though some of the facilities could use a refresh.

The hotel was pretty busy while I was there, possibly because of a conference. It was still a good stay, and the staff service was good. Breakfast was standard, mostly local dishes. It was my first time here. The hotel is not far from the city, with a supermarket within walking distance and some restaurants inside.

After we’d checked out in a rush, I realized I’d left some belongings in the room. I contacted the hotel the next day and was relieved to hear everything had been found and was ready for pickup. A heartfelt thanks to Sam, the founder named on the lost & found receipt, for being honest. It meant a lot, and you don’t come across that kind of trustworthiness every day. My elderly family members and children had a lovely stay. Check-in was quick and smooth after a long journey, and the blackout curtains made it possible to sleep in total darkness. The room was quiet, which mattered to me and my kids because we’re sensitive to noise. The location was also very convenient for nearby attractions and amenities. We were completely satisfied, and the peaceful setting, thoughtful amenities, and excellent service made the stay memorable. We’ll be back on our next visit!
