We spent two nights and three days here in April. The pool was clean, the food was good, and I thought we got great value. The location is pretty far from town, so don't expect to walk along the main road to reach markets. A taxi takes care of that. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the AC worked well. The bathroom could use some attention: the shower drain was blocked and smelled odd, but they fixed it on our first night. I really liked the buffet breakfast, just remember to bring your food voucher. Wonderful hotel and resort in rural Medan.

Thanks to Pak Andika at the restaurant for the good service. Still, I wouldn't recommend this place for families. The bedroom and pool area were dirty, most of the facilities were old or broken, and neither the breakfast nor the à la carte food seemed worth the price.

Breakfast could have been tastier, and when we arrived around 8 the buffet was nearly gone. We couldn't get anything refilled. We came on Friday, though, and the kids loved having the pool to themselves. It was a nice experience overall.

The staff made us feel welcome right away, and check-in was quick and easy. Everyone I met was friendly, professional, and happy to help. They also knew the local attractions and gave us good ideas for things to do. The resort's green, peaceful setting was lovely, whether relaxing by the pool or walking in the gardens. Our room felt luxurious and comfortable, with thoughtful furnishings, a very comfortable bed, a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and spacious bathroom. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and the restaurant staff were attentive. I had a memorable stay at Pancur Gading Hotel & Resort and would happily return.

A nice spot for a weekend stay. It's a good distance from the city centre, but the landscaped grounds make for a clean, pleasant visit. You can also pay to use the pool without booking a room, and the restaurant has a good menu.
