The grounds are roomy, and there's a large, lovely, clean swimming pool, so it can work well for big gatherings. Hotel Asri Cipayung is right on the main road, making it one of the more accessible places to stay when visiting Puncak, Bogor.

The pool is decent, but the pool table hasn't been kept up well. The rooms are uncomfortable, not very clean, and poorly maintained. Still, it's cheap and cheerful, and for 100-200 rupiah a night, it's not bad for the money.

The breakfast was a disappointment for nearly 300,000 Rupiah. At 6 a.m. staff knocked to bring steamed rice, a sunny-side-up egg, vermicelli that I found tasteless, and two small crackers. There wasn't even a drink, not sweet tea or mineral water. When I was checking out, an officer suddenly told me his motorcycle had been washed and asked me to pay. I don't mean to be stingy, but I never asked for that service, and reception hadn't mentioned a charge at all. We arrived late and had booked a double bed, only to be told twin beds were available and that we could cancel if we didn't want them. Since it was already late, we accepted. The staff took us to the room, where there was no AC remote, so we couldn't change the temperature. The bathroom was dirty and leaking, and it had just one towel and soap, with no toothbrush. We're usually given mineral water, or at least a kettle with water and a drinking glass, but here the kettle was empty and there was no glass. Please improve the facilities so other guests don't have the same unpleasant stay.
