Villa Batu Tua Puncak

A good villa.

I booked on the spot and paid 200,000 Rupiah without leaving my ID card. You can look at the room before paying if you're satisfied, though that may depend on the ladies' mood. The name made me think the place might be scary, but it felt quite safe. There's an unfinished demolished villa that looks creepy, and an unused fish pond in front of the room gives the area a shabby feel. The room was a bit dirty even though it had been swept. There was a wasp nest near the bathroom light. The worst issue was rainwater leaking through the air vent by the bathroom. Looking around, I found another building behind the room whose roof drains led to that vent. At check-in, I got only towels, two single beds, four pillows, and two blankets. There were no drinks, soap, or other items in the room, and no TV, water heater, or trash can. Shared facilities include a water dispenser across from the security post and karaoke. The lower level of the pool is slippery and has no depth markings. Please take care if you bring children.

There’s plenty of room for a big family get-together, and the kids can run around, play ball, or swim. We gathered with local residents and found the place quite nice 👍

We paid 300,000 rupiah a night and had arranged our check-out, but the service and manners were awful and really got on our nerves. It felt like staying in a social welfare institution. I’m fed up.
