Villa Dua Bintang

It’s a good spot if you’re looking to relax. There isn’t much nearby beyond a few waterfalls and rice terraces, though the hotel can arrange tours and snorkeling trips. The staff are very friendly and happy to offer advice. The rooms are pretty ordinary, but the outdoor bathrooms are nice. The neon bulbs could use warmer light. There aren’t many places to eat around, so you’ll probably have most meals at the hotel. The food is okay, nothing special. Pool water feels quite cold at first, then it’s great for cooling off.

After hiking to the nearby waterfalls and rice terraces, the infinity pool is a refreshing place to cool off, with a great view. The staff explain the hiking routes and give you a map of the area, and they offer day trips at a reasonable price. They were the friendliest hotel staff we had anywhere on Bali.

Our private villa with a pool made for an amazing stay, a unique retreat surrounded by lush greenery. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable with netting to keep bugs away at night. You do get a few bugs here and there, but that’s expected outdoors and nothing too bad. Parts of the bathroom roof were open to the outdoors, though there was good privacy. Breakfast and the other food were good, and the service was excellent. Huge thanks to Gus, Adi, and the rest of the staff for being so kind and helpful and making the stay special. There were even speakers in the room to play music while relaxing by the pool. I’d definitely recommend it.

The pool was too cold for us, so we didn’t use it, but we hadn’t come for that anyway :) There were plenty of delicious breakfast choices, a welcome drink, and free water every day. The hotel has lots of facilities, even earplugs in case jungle sounds disturb your sleep. The place is clean and spacious, with enough choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most of all, the staff are wonderful, welcoming, and always available to help. They’re happy to chat and seem genuinely interested. Big shoutout to Gus, Adi, Andre, and the rest of the great staff. If we come back to Munduk, we’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
