Bromo Seruni Guesthouse

The host communicated well and responded quickly to our requests. Checkout is at 12, which is a plus. It’s well located for an early sunrise trek, with Seruni Point a 45 minute walk and Mt.Bromo a 1 hour walk away. The jeep road runs right beside the place, so you can hear the vehicles going up. The rooms are small and have a double bed, private bathroom with toilet and shower, two chairs, and a small table. There’s no hand sink. Hot water was limited, and there wasn’t a towel or toilet paper when we arrived, though they brought some after we contacted them. Soundproofing is poor. There are more than 7 homestay rooms and no services. It’s a normal homestay room in CemoroLawang, useful for hiking in Mt. Bromo, and one of the better options in town. Still, it feels very expensive for what it offers and the condition of the accommodation. Ideal for 1 night, no more.

It gets very cold at night, down to only one degree Celsius, and there isn’t much water at night.

The service was very disappointing. I really wouldn’t recommend it.
