We didn’t argue with anyone or speak to the staff during our stay, but in the morning we found very offensive, vulgar words written on our car window. We hadn’t done anything that could have provoked it. It felt completely unprovoked and extremely unsafe. The owner came but refused to refund the one night we’d booked across three rooms, claiming he couldn’t return the money. The place was extremely dirty, and at 1-2 AM the staff made noise and played loud music. There was no mobile signal at all, and the Wi-Fi only worked in the kitchen, not the rooms. When we saw the writing, we knew it wasn’t safe to stay. This is the worst place we’ve ever stayed. Never stay here, it’s not safe for tourists!

The hot water for bathing is a nice perk, and the price is really worth it. This homestay is close to bromo.

I found this place through Tiktok, and the price is very affordable. The mattress, pillows and blanket were okay and comfortable, but the cleanliness needs work, especially in the kitchen pantry and toilet. It was very dirty, and the kitchen smell reached the room hallway. Wi-Fi only worked in the dining area and on the 1st floor, not in the room. The hot water didn’t work when it was off at night and could only be turned on in the morning. The room door also couldn’t be locked from inside.

We booked a month ahead, but instead of the upstairs room we’d reserved, we got a damp room downstairs where water kept dripping from the ceiling onto the mattress. We asked to switch rooms and were given one that was really dirty. I was very disappointed.
