For 112,500 Rupiah booked through Oyo, this is an affordable homestay between Kediri and Nganjuk. I’d rate it 8/10 overall. The Android TV worked well, and being able to use YouTube and watch movies was a nice surprise for a place in this class. Wi-Fi was very fast for browsing and YouTube, a 10/10. The bed was soft and comfortable, with good pillows and a thick blanket, also 8/10. The guest room is spacious and has plenty of sofas (7/10), and there’s enough parking (8/10). The AC gets cold, though it takes a while in the daytime. At night, the thick blanket comes in handy. 7/10. The bathroom could be cleaner, so 5/10 there. Cleanliness elsewhere was poor too, with quite a bit of dust on the floor and in the living room (6/10). One thoughtful touch: the guard kindly lent me his motorbike to get food since the food stall is quite far away. There’s an Alfamart next to the hotel.

I was exhausted after traveling a long way and just wanted to get some rest, but this turned into a really upsetting experience. The room was shabby, ugly, and cramped, and the dirty bathroom looked nothing like the photos in the app. The staff were unfriendly. They ran wild promotions without knowing what they were worth. I ended up so fed up that I had to move somewhere else.

I paid almost 1 million through OYO for several rooms, then arrived to hear they no longer worked with OYO. On top of that, the rooms and hallways were filthy. I found used soft pillows, dick wrappers, and dirty sheets.
