The private-pool villa with a sacred valley view, looking out over the forest, felt like a little heaven. The location and facilities were good. After a long journey, the welcome drink at reception was refreshing, especially with the rice paddies in view. Getting from the main road to the villa by buggy, along the rice gardens with water flowing beside us, was excellent. They also take guests back to the main road, but you need to let them know in advance. The room was excellent, with a private open bath and washroom arranged for full privacy. Out back, there's a chair for relaxing and taking in nature, birdsong, and the sound of flowing water. We found a couple of insects in the room, but that's common in Ubud's natural setting, and room service is available to deal with them. The free English or Balinese breakfast was excellent, though the choices were limited, and room service was excellent too. One thing to know: the pool is over five feet deep, so only taller people can really enjoy it.

We stayed a week in a one-bedroom villa overlooking the rice fields, and we're checking out today. It's a beautiful, peaceful location, away from the busy streets. The grounds are lush, clean, and well kept. Our room and bed were clean and refreshed every day with new towels. No ants or mosquitoes, just a few little geckos, including one I named Greg. Steve the squirrel dropped by a couple of times. After days out, the clean pool was refreshing. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and they took our laundry with a 24-hour turnaround at a very good price. WiFi was strong in both the rooms and restaurant, with no lag. Room service was fantastic, and the restaurant is beautiful with delicious food. We ate there most nights. Breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious too. The little bar served great cocktails, and the on-site massages and beauty treatments were a great bonus. I'd highly recommend the 3.5-hour massage and facial. There's also 24-hour golf cart service to the parking bay on the main road, and all the drivers were brilliant and friendly. The reception ladies were lovely. Fantastic experience, hassle-free and welcoming. Thank you to all the staff!

A beautiful property with a lovely atmosphere and excellent service. I booked the premium villa, and they made it feel special with decorations and complimentary items on request. The food was tasty and served well. The only drawback was that the location is a little out of the way, though they have a buggy service to help with access. A rejuvenating stay.

The staff returned my wallet after I accidentally left it in the room when I checked out. They were honest, helpful, and professional, and I’m very grateful to Suwacan, Gung Eka, Krisna, and Togar for treating me with such kindness and integrity. I had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend the place. Their service really gave me peace of mind.

Samkhya Villa feels wonderfully refreshing, surrounded by nature and well suited to a quiet, relaxing break. I did feel a little uneasy swimming, though. The pool’s dark stones in that natural setting made me worry about insects. Lighter tiles might make it more comfortable.
