Adi Bungalow Nusa Penida

I stayed for a month, and this was the worst stay I've had anywhere. The location is good, but please don't spend your money here. The AC leaked, and there were rats and cockroaches in the room, with no pest spray at all. You have to text him to get the room cleaned, otherwise it never gets cleaned. The doors are broken, and there's no drinking water. He replies very quickly when he needs the Homestay money, but takes ages when there's a problem. You can find much better home stays for far less. I'm being direct so nobody else has to go through what I did for a whole bloody month.

The beds were huge and really comfortable, and the place was quiet despite being well located, set back from the main road. It could even be a romantic spot. Our host and his wife, I think, were always around, helpful with questions, and happy to offer recommendations. He also helped our group of eight rent mopeds, which made it much easier to reach the great spots around Nusa. There are lots of dive schools within walking distance, plus food spots nearby. The main sights are fairly evenly spaced from here: Kelingking Beach, Angles Billabong and Broken Beach are about 50 minutes by scooter in one direction, while Diamond Beach is about 50 minutes the other way.

Adi sorted out everything for us, including a speed boat from Bali, scooter rental, and a snorkeling trip, which made the stay much easier. We really enjoyed our time here. The place has a lovely feel, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers, mango, coconut, and papaya trees. Best wishes from us, Adi!

Our booking through Expedia was confirmed, but when we arrived, the owner said Adi Bunglow was overbooked. We then had to check at least three other properties with him to find spare rooms, which was a huge inconvenience and waste of time. Two hours later, we were given two rooms at a different nearby property, Ulu Artha, and it was one of the worst stays I've had in Bali. Book at your own risk.
