Agung View Nusa Penida

The hotel doesn't tell guests before check-in about the loud chanting that starts around 4 am each day, lasts almost an hour, and happens five times daily, including at noon. It was nearly impossible to sleep. Getting around is inconvenient after you check in, and that makes renting a motorcycle nearby difficult too. Since it's the only place you can choose, rentals cost twice as much as renting outside. Don't be fooled into coming here.

The pool is fantastic, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. Inside, it's cozy, with comfortable beds and stylish Indonesian style. A truly magical place. I plan to return soon.

The service was awful, and the people here were very arrogant. The bathroom above leaked through the ceiling into our room, and we could hear loud stomping from upstairs. There's a mosque nearby, and prayers over loudspeakers start at 4am, making decent sleep hard. The geyser wasn't working either, so there was no hot water. One of the worst stays I've had!

The view at Agung View Villa was lovely, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the staff were kind and helpful. The location is convenient too, with the harbor even within walking distance if you're catching a boat. For a budget-friendly stay, the basic facilities and rough surrounding area felt fair for the price. Be prepared for very loud music from nearby village or temple speakers from around 4:30 AM. Bring earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones. Even with that, the view and service make it a good value if you're easygoing and know what to expect.
