We had trouble communicating at first, but things got better once we spoke with a man who I assume was one of the owners. Sorry, I didn’t get his name. It’s affordable and close to bars, shops, and an ATM. Our room was clean at the start, but nobody cleaned it during our three-day stay, and I found empty candy wrappers in the drawers. There was no hot water and no soap, shampoo, or shower gel. We didn’t try the food. When we asked about renting a scooter, they quickly arranged one. The tank was almost empty, the light flickered, and the engine made a strange noise, but I was told it was perfectly fine. Half an hour later I worked up the courage to ask them to take it back because it didn’t seem safe to ride. They still kept 75.000, the price for a full day’s rental.

The hostess was wonderful, really friendly, and arranged our laundry for a decent price. She also gave us breakfast for free. We had no complaints apart from the shower, which had no hot water.

We spent two nights here, four of us in two bungalows, and they were just right for a short getaway. Each was clean, air-conditioned, spacious enough for two, and had a lovely private patio. The island and the place were peaceful and quiet. The shower only had cold water, which surprised us, but in the heat on a small island it wasn’t too bad. The staff were great and happy to answer questions. They could arrange tours or drive you places themselves. There’s also a beautiful cat who wanders around and came to say hello on our patio each morning.

We stopped in for live music, dinner, and drinks rather than staying overnight, and had a good time. The drinks were great, and the Indonesian menu had a nice range of local dishes. We enjoyed the chicken and found ourselves singing along to the live music. It made for a nice atmosphere.

A friend recommended this place, but the facilities didn’t feel worth the price: 350 for the “luxury room,” with no breakfast, pool, or hot shower. The bungalows were dark and very noisy. You can hear everything your neighbor does in the bathroom, and I mean everything. We chose to leave early and got a fair refund without having to ask for one.
