We stayed in the newer section for eight days, booking two rooms, and both were consistently well kept. The big new pool was part of our daily routine, and the staff were great, always helpful. Breakfast was included, and I’d go for the Indonesian option. We even spent some days at the resort all day because the facilities were good and food was easy to get nearby. They can rent you a motorbike or call a taxi guy, hi Lucky! I also had two in-room massages, both very nice, for $25 AUD each. There are occasional power cuts for a couple of hours. That’s an island-wide thing, not the hotel’s fault, just island life. And for what they provide, I think they could charge more. I used to work at a 3-star hotel that cost more and was way shittier. Ignore the bad reviews, this place is great! If someone’s unhappy, maybe they were expecting a Hilton when they could only afford Bates Motel.

The hotel is well looked after and the room price is quite economical. It isn’t by the shore, and none of the rooms have a sea view. There’s no restaurant for lunch or dinner, and breakfast choices are limited.

I booked the wrong dates through the app, from the 30th to the 1st instead of the 1st to the 2nd, and I accept that was my mistake. I contacted the owner right after paying to sort it out, but got no quick reply. The next day I got “Wait” and “I’ll check,” then nothing more. I asked politely if they could move my check-in instead of refunding me. That seemed like a simple request, but there was no follow-up or solution. The replies felt rude and dismissive, with no basic courtesy or effort to help a paying customer. I didn’t get my money back, they stole my money 🙂 I’m extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend Pandawa Beach Inn in Nusa Penida to locals or expats. There are other places whose owners value their guests and communicate professionally.

The beds were clean, but the rooms weren’t maintained well. The bathroom doors were broken, the bins were old and rusty, and the AC wasn’t working. The restaurant was closed, with only a small, limited breakfast that cost extra. Wi-Fi was down for a while.
