The night staff member was excellent and very accommodating. The hotel itself has seen better days, though, and needs a general refresh to deal with more problems than I can list.

The location and view are great, but the place felt disappointing because it wasn't being maintained or cleaned well. The pool was dirty and poorly looked after. Our room carpet was dusty and seemed not to have been cleaned in ages. After a shower, walking barefoot on the floor left dust stuck to my feet. It made everything in the room feel dirty. The bathroom sink is far too small. The old faucet handle had greenish-gray rust and hard bubbles formed on it. The place needs a major renovation inside and out, with new furniture and a complete replacement of the bathroom shower and faucets. Staff retraining would help too.

It's quiet and conveniently located away from the crowds. The rooms are very spacious, though they could have been cleaner. The owner should tidy up the hotel's exterior.

The view was wonderful during our two-night stay, but the service left us unhappy. Our package included breakfast. On the first morning it was rice and noodles, far too spicy for us to eat. We asked for sandwiches the next day and got those with cold tea and coffee. I'd suggest booking a room without breakfast. The rooms were dirty, and after room service they didn't leave us fresh towels or water.
