Jukung Cottage

The room was clean and spacious, and the reception lady was polite and very helpful. There's also a convenience store inside the resort. My one disappointment was needing help at 1am when I came down with bali belly. We called reception several times without an answer, and my friend went to the counter, but nobody was there.

We loved Jukung. The rooms were cool, and the staff were so sweet. Special thanks to Erna and everyone else for the amazing, accommodating service :)

We had a good three days at this attractive property. The gardens were lovely, and our room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Building work across the road partly spoiled the sea view. For proper sea access and swimming, The Cliff beach club is the nearest option, just a three minute walk up the road. There's a handy supermarket right in front, and the restaurant and laundry service were both good.

I don't like leaving a bad review when the staff were great and accommodating, but I also want to be honest and can't be talked into giving five stars. We booked a garden view cottage on Expedia expecting a detached unit overlooking a quiet garden, but got an apartment facing a noisy street and parking lot. The wording and photos on Expedia were inaccurate, or we were misinformed. The rooms were average and not very clean. I couldn't sleep through the heavy moped traffic and barking dogs, and the bathroom toilet scared me to use. The host was helpful and let us choose another room, which was a much better experience. I know they can't do much about the traffic and dogs with paper thin walls, but the unsanitary bathroom was my concern. The unit we complained about was rented to other guests for the next two nights without being cleaned or fixed. They addressed my own complaints, but didn't fix the room for the next guests. See pics.
