Kubu Indah Guest House

The hosts were warm and quick to help whenever we needed something. When the internet briefly went down, the host did his best to get it sorted as soon as possible. Wi-Fi was fast and stable otherwise, which mattered a lot to us. The guesthouse is quiet and relaxing, and the rooms and whole property were cleaner and tidier than we expected. There’s a small shop on site with all the essentials, and the coconuts and bananas they kindly offered us were a lovely touch. We’d happily come back and recommend the place.

I stopped by Kubu Indah Guest House at the last minute, and it became the best choice I made in my whole month in Bali. The owners welcomed me so warmly that I felt at home right away. Surrounded by nature, it has a peaceful, authentic feel that’s hard to find on the island. A real hidden gem on Nusa Penida!

The family running the guesthouse are very sweet, and the location is lovely but quite remote. I can’t ride a motorbike myself, so it was a big help when the grandfather took me to two touristy spots on a short trip for 250k. He was so sweet and fun to go with. Breakfast is one banana pancake with tea or coffee. It’s tasty, but not enough to fill you up. I’m giving four stars because there’s room to improve and cut plastic use: there’s no refill water container, so you have to keep buying bottled water. The sink in my room was a little broken. Even so, my stay was very positive.

It’s easy to get around from here, and it’s close to restaurants and waroengs as well as Pelabuhan Nusa Penida. The owner is humble and friendly, and the room is clean with hot water, AC, and a pantry. Booking directly with the owner is cheaper than using an online app 😀🐣🐣
