The only thing going for this place is that it’s near Sampalan Harbour, about a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on your pace. My bed wasn’t made when I arrived, and the floor was dirty. A guy whose name I can’t remember said he’d send someone to clean it, but nobody came. The room wasn’t cleaned by staff for the rest of my stay either, and there was a spider web under the bed. NOT COOL! The shared toilet was extremely dirty and needs refurbishing. It was cheap, but staying here gave me a skin rush. DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK!

Nice atmosphere and quiet rooms with plenty of space, plus a great little garden. The staff are nice, and I liked them. There isn’t much English, but that’s normal on this island. The rooms were fine otherwise, though the interior design and furniture feel a bit plastic, which is a sharp contrast with the outside.

We booked two tours and drove around the island in a comfortable car, then went swimming with fish. The views, sun, and ocean were all beautiful. The service was good, and there are tours available. The budget price comes with normal conditions, as I mentioned. There’s internet, and the food is tasty, with Russian and European dishes. The potato dumplings were especially good, with a filling that stayed intact, just like we make them.

There’s plenty of land here, and the common area has a very relaxed feel. Food is reasonably priced, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms feel like little homes. A very nice hostel for solo travellers or groups on Nusa penida.

It’s set a little back from the busy road, so nights are quiet, but it’s still well located and close to the night market. A nice, relaxed place to stay on Nusa Penida, with comfortable beds and a reasonably clean bathroom.
