Sarivanna Penida

Coming back each evening to find the lights on, the AC set low to cool the room, and the bed turned down made the stay feel especially welcoming and comfortable. The staff were great, always happy to help and have a friendly chat. We arranged laundry, a scooter, a taxi, and ferry tickets through them without hassle. Sarivanna Penida is up on a hill, so it’s peaceful, with a short ride downhill to the beach. It’s a good base for exploring both east and west. Our room matched the pictures, was very clean and refreshed every day, and had a big, clean bathroom. Free toiletries and tea and coffee were replenished daily, too. There’s a small restaurant on site. Breakfast had good options they could tailor to our needs, and the meals were tasty and well priced. The service made it feel like staying at a fancy hotel. There’s a pleasant feel to the place, and the room is great, close to nature. The staff are good and the service is good too, though it could improve. You won’t find other restaurants or hotels within walking distance, but they rent mopeds for 100,000 IDR. Lunch isn’t available at the hotel, and breakfast choices are limited. For the price, though, it was a great experience.

The pool was great and a good temperature, and the food was nice. You can pay by credit card, though there’s a 3% fee. A taxi from the port costs 150k. Breakfast was a simple choice of eggs or pancakes. The bed was comfy and the AC worked well. The TV wasn’t a smart TV. There’s a nice view of Bali, but the hotel is up a very long hill, so you need a scooter to get around.

For the price, this was a great stay in Penida. The staff were awesome and handled guests really well. We booked all our activities through them because the prices and arrangements were great. Just one small suggestion: the bathroom could use better maintenance. Everything else was perfect.
