The Sebali Penida Beach Resort

Breakfast offered plenty of choices and I thought the food was very good. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and looked after me well. At check-in, reception were courteous and quick, and let me in a few minutes early. Someone carried my bags up to the Tree House room, which was a great service. They work hard, so tip them well. I chose Sebali Penida for a couple of nights while visiting Nusa Penida for the first time. Before I arrived, they answered my questions promptly and helpfully, booked my fast boat from Sanur Ferry Terminal to Nusa Penida, and arranged a ride from the ferry terminal to the hotel, about a 10 minutes drive. Having it all sorted ahead made the trip much smoother. I really enjoyed the two nights and would recommend the hotel. I hope to come back soon. I also went across the street to Bubu Beach Bar and Grill, a decent place for a few drinks, music, and sunset. The food was decent too.

The place has a beautiful setting and plenty of potential, and the friendly staff were pleasant to deal with. We were glad we had a discount, though, because several details that matter weren't right. The outdoor shower didn't work, the indoor one worked only 40%, some lights were faulty, the pool filtration was poor, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. Cleanliness could be better too, including the walls and linens. Conditioner and mosquito spray were empty. The staff need clearer guidance and more attention to detail. Better upkeep and management could make this a great place.

The complimentary transfers from the pier were a welcome touch, and the grounds were peaceful and well kept. The beachfront position is excellent, with direct sea access and just a short walk to local spas with the volcano view, restaurants, and bars. The pool area is lovely and well maintained, and breakfast was great. The staff were especially kind and attentive, always willing to sort out any issue with a smile. Rooms are spacious, clean, and carefully designed. Some have private pools, rooftop terraces, or hammocks. It felt like a little oasis for a relaxing stay.

The restaurant breakfast and pool facilities were both great, and the room was in good condition. It's a new hotel and good value for the price. Everyone on staff was kind, especially Oktaaa from the restaurant, such a lovely and kind girl.
