Umah Ilu - Island Retreat

The staff made our resort stay especially good. They picked us up from the harbour and took us back for free, drove us to nearby beaches each day, and arranged a private tour that we really enjoyed. They also brought delicious breakfast to our villa every morning. We had the whole villa to ourselves, with a comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and a veranda surrounded by plants and flowers. It was an amazing stay and one of our best choices on our Bali trip. We really enjoyed it and recommend the place. Thank you!

The peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful amenities made for a relaxing, memorable stay at Umah Ilu Island Retreat, and the value was great. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our room every morning. The complimentary ferry shuttle also made getting around seamless and stress-free. The staff were warm and attentive throughout, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. Highly recommended!

Getting around the island was easier with a scooter than depending on local taxis, so I’d recommend renting one if you plan to explore. We had a lovely stay at Umah Ilu. Each hut has its own history, and the hosts were really nice. They’ll also wait for you at the harbour if you need a pickup.

The owner was the highlight for us. He helped with every question and request from before we arrived right through to our departure. The location is wonderfully secluded and completely quiet, yet only about 10 minutes by scooter from either harbour. Our cabin was spacious and beautiful, and both it and the garden were very clean and well kept. We were warmly welcomed with two fresh coconuts, and the staff were lovely throughout. Breakfast comes to your room between 7 and 10 am. We were a bit late but still got ours. No complaints at all, we’d absolutely recommend staying here.
