Waterside Inn Nusa Penida

The morning sunrise views were priceless, and the innkeepers were friendly. For the price, I found it very comfortable: clean toilets, big beds, and breakfast that wasn't bad. My expectations for a hotel or inn are pretty low, really just decent AC, comfortable beds, and showers, and those made for a comfortable stay. Don't expect luxury, and you might be pleasantly surprised. There's also a cute dog called lula!

The balcony was a highlight, with bean bags that made it a lovely place to relax. The beach is right next door, and the beach-view rooms also look over the pool. Breakfast is included, with two decent options, and the staff are very friendly, especially the owner, who arranged an amazing snorkeling trip for us at 150k per person. The rooms were clean, though the bathroom had some ants, the lighting was dim, and there was no hot water.

We stayed in an upstairs room with two queen beds, and the air conditioner worked wonderfully. The home felt warm and welcoming, and breakfast was freshly made for us. There are a couple of rooms facing the beach, and you can sit looking out at it while you eat. Such a lovely family to stay with.

When our ferry was cancelled after a fatal accident at the port for Sanur, the owner and his friend helped us get to a different port and work out another way back. They were so kind and helpful, thank you both! The place itself is oceanfront and well located, with a small pool, a fairly comfortable bed, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and breakfast included. You can choose tea or coffee and an omelette or banana pancake. The staff were nice, and the owner also arranges snorkeling trips and ferry-port transport at reasonable prices. The bathroom is basic, shampoo comes in little packets if you ask, and the shower stream was a bit weak.
