A quiet, old-fashioned place with free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee you can pour yourself, or have as a welcome drink. There are rice fields around Padang Panjang, and the water is pure and cold. It’s usually around 16-28 degrees Celsius here. An old railway is nearby, too. Around town you’ll find a place to eat near the center, a mini market across the street, photo spots and plenty of nature to visit. You can hike Mount Marapi and then Mount Singgalang. The rain can be unpredictable, a bit like Bogor (Buitenzorg).
