Padang Panjang isn't a big, well-known city, so it doesn't have five-star hotels and the like. For my entire trip here, I stayed at this place, which is almost in the city center. Food markets and shops are easy to reach, and the amenities are good. The price wasn't high, and the quality was a little better than what I paid for. I'd say it's high quality for a low price, and the best place to stay in Padang Panjang.

The hillside view is nice, and there's a fish pond where the kids can happily feed the fish. Now it has become "Hotel Pangeran," with a homey stay and simple offerings. It's at a junction on the main road to other cities, so it can be a little noisy, but at night I could sleep soundly under the blanket.

The garden is nice, and the staff are very helpful. It's right in the middle of the city, and the rooms are clean and big enough.
