Kawana Hotel

Breakfast had lots of options and was really good, and the location is convenient for shopping without being too busy. They also have a restaurant and affordable laundry. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place had an upscale feel. During an international conference in town, all the rooms were booked except one without a window, and that room smelled. I hadn’t realized hotels could have rooms with no window, so ask for one when booking or checking in unless you’re fine without it.

Getting around Padang is easy from here because the location is so convenient. At Hotel Kawana Padang, check-in and checkout were quick, the room was clean, the AC worked well, and the shower had hot water. Buffet breakfast is available for 75k. It was a nice stay.

We stayed from September 4 to 6, 2024. The hotel is nice, spacious, and beautiful, and yes, I’d stay again, but I’d bring my own coffee, creamer, and extra pillow next time. Each bed had just one pillow, and when we asked for another, we were told we’d have to pay. The room had two single beds but only one coffee, two sugars, and two teas, with no creamer. We asked for creamer too, and apparently that cost extra. When we asked the restaurant staff for more coffee or creamer, they looked at us strangely, as if we were begging for things we’d paid for. Some rooms have no windows, so please wake up to the fact that it isn’t always night. Also, my friend’s bath towel was badly torn. I’ll share the photo.
