You can see Mount Dempo towering nearby when the weather is clear. The building has an old-fashioned feel, with vintage objects and photos kept neatly in good condition, and the place is comfortable and quite pretty. Service was satisfactory, and the price, around 150,000 Rupiah, seemed affordable and normal.

The only real positives were the spacious rooms and two large bathrooms. Still, I won't stay here again. The old guesthouse felt creepy, and the receptionist scolded me right when I arrived, asking why I hadn't just come in. She said she normally doesn't take bookings through the app and only accepted because she felt sorry for me. If they don't want online bookings, they shouldn't list the place on Agoda, Booking, or Oyo. People will arrive and regret it. The bathroom was broken, with a bucket in place of the tub. The toilet didn't work, the fan barely moved air, and the AC was dead. The towels were dirty, there was no soap, and parking felt unsafe with no gate or CCTV, let alone Wi-Fi.

The view straight toward Mount Dempo was great, but the room was in bad shape. The AC and water heater seemed to be there for show, the lights were dim, and there was a smell in the room. The mattress was dirty, and I ended up itchy from mites.

It was a comfortable, nice room for a low price, under 100,000 Rupiah when booked through OYO. But there was no water fountain. I asked the staff in the morning and they didn't seem to know what was going on, so I checked out without taking a shower.
